Nelson G. Wolff
Nelson G. Wolff 401(k) plan pension claim maritime workers
Nelson is a partner of the firm. He represents railroad and maritime employees in personal injury and death cases under the FELA and Jones Act. He also represents numerous employees of large corporations in claims brought under ERISA arising from mismanagement of 401k retirement plans.

Nelson has been serving on the Board of Governors of the Missouri Association of Trial Attorneys since 2004. He has been selected for inclusion in the 2010 edition of The Best Lawyers in America in the specialty of Railroad Law and has been selected as a Missouri and Kansas "Super Lawyer" by the publisher of Law & Politics in every year since 2005 in the field of Transportation Law which includes railroad and maritime injuries. He is also the only Missouri lawyer listed as a "Preferred Attorney" by the National Mariners Association. Nelson has also had numerous articles published in legal journals on personal injury subjects and has presented legal seminars to other attorneys.

Throughout his career, he has successfully tried cases in multiple jurisdictions and recovered millions of dollars on behalf of injured railroad and maritime workers. An example of his work is a case for an injured railroad worker who was unable to return to his job as a track machine operator where the jury awarded a verdict of $5 million against the Union Pacific and AMTRAK Railroads. He has also been recognized in the Waterways Journal for his successful representation of a widow for the death of her husband, a chief engineer who suffered a heart attack while working for American Commercial Barge Line Company, in which he received over $1 million following a jury verdict. This case was the subject of a FOX television story and was featured in the Waterways Journal. He has also successfully handled a maritime case challenging the longstanding industry practice of "jerking wires" and obtained a precedent setting jury verdict.
